While Medal of Honor: Warfighter launches later this month, you’re able to get your hands on the multiplayer beta within just a few days. Xbox 360 owners who have an Xbox Live gold subscription will be treated to the beta this month free of charge.
No pre-order incentives or previous game purchases are required. Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s multiplayer beta will go live on the Xbox 360 October 5th. The date was confirmed via Major Nelson’s latest podcast, and is expected to be announced officially by EA within the next 24 hours.
Participants of the beta will receive an hour worth of double XP within the retail version of the game. The multiplayer beta will also include the “Hotspot” mode, which is bomb defusal mode where teams must attack and defend selected objectives.
Hotspot is a radical take on the classic bomb defuse gameplay. Five explosives caches are spread around a level, and each team must plant/defend 3 caches to achieve victory.
