Interactive ‘XCOM: Enemy Unknown’ trailer lets you command soldiers

Interactivity has always separated games from other forms of media, and it seems like 2K Games and Firaxis understand this fact in the new, controllable XCOM: Enemy Unknown trailer.

The classic PC strategy title is being revived and restructured for a new generation, but it’s still a game all about commanding a squad of well-trained soldiers through a dangerous battlefield. The below video displays that in a unique way, as you can actually make choices while watching it. Give it a go and see how the mission turns out.

Pretty neat, huh?

Expect the full experience on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC October 9. That’s next week, for those of you who haven’t realized that we’re now in October.
