Someone is always watching. You would think that game developers, of all people, would understand that. As someone was scouring the various profiles of Gearbox Software employees on the online résumé site LinkedIn, they found highlights which included working on an expansion for Borderlands 2 code-named ‘Torgue.’ Another profile referenced working on an “Unannounced” “Expansion of a Highly Successful Triple-A FPS,” presumably Borderlands 2, which consists of more than ten hours of gameplay. One would expect these two to be the same project. The guilty parties have since removed their résumés completely, only confirming the validity of the posts.
Randy Pitchford, one of the co-founders of Gearbox Software, commented at the annual Gearbox Community Day that he’s “always wanted to ride a sail barge and drive a Sand Skiff. I’ve always wanted to do that, and we’ve got some cool stuff that’s along those lines.”
Of course, Gearbox is set to release four expansions on Pandora before next June. Players can buy the Season Pass which will net you all four for the price of three ($30).
Without spoiling anything, where are you hoping Borderlands 2 will go next?
