‘Hitman: Absolution’ Contracts Mode Gameplay Footage Revealed

If you’re anything like me, you’re incredibly excited about the release of Hitman: Absolution. If you’re not like me… get ready to be.

Originally shown in secrecy at Gamescom, footage from Hitman: Absolution Contracts Mode is now available for public consumption. Check out the video below to find out why you should go pre-order the game right now.

As the narrator of the video describes, “Contracts” plays out like a game of H-O-R-S-E, wherein you set the rules of a “contract” and others try to recreate and best your attempts. For example, the video shows Agent 47 (in his standard black suit) assassinate a police officer NPC with a kitchen knife. Others would then attempt to complete the contract with the same parameters (Agent 47 suit + knife = dead cop).

As a peripheral mode to the game’s main story, “Contracts” looks to add a new level of replay value to the Hitman series, as gamers will try to best one another’s scores with various takedown tactics. Apart from the workings of the new mode, the video also shows off some of Absolution’s awesome graphics and atmosphere.

If you ask me, the game looks about as badass as can be. What do you think, readers? Let me know in the comments below, or over in our forums.
