As if it’s any sort of secret, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be receiving a Prestige edition this November. Earlier in the year, we received a tip detailing the biggest item of the Prestige edition, a quadrotor, from a member of our community. After news of a zombie map taking place on Nuketown, Call of Duty fans are in for another great piece of news today.
Confirming our rumor from May of this year, Activision has just announced the contents of the Prestige edition for Black Ops 2 at the Gamestop conference. The main item of the Prestige will be a remote-control quadrotor with the contents of the special edition coming in a Call of Duty style care package.
Along with the Prestige edition, a Hardened edition was confirmed as well. Following previous years, the Hardened edition will contain everything the Prestige edition does except for the remote-control quadrotor. We’ve listed the contents below as detailed by our tip from the Gamestop conference.
- Remote-controled Quadrotor replica
- Exclusive in-game upgrades
- Exclusive Zombie Maps
- Nuketown 2025 (comes with all pre-orders)
The official announcement of the special editions for the game are fully expected this week. A Call of Duty Elite subscription has been rumored, but not confirmed, to be included with at least one of the special editions. We’ll keep you informed as more information is relayed to us regarding Black Ops 2.
