Nintendo have revealed that it will be hosting an all-day event on September 13th in New York City to discuss further details regarding the Wii U and its future.
The news comes off an invitation of said event sent to Polygon, of which sources close to the outlet supposing that the Wii U’s release date announcement may be unveiled. A similar briefing was held in 2011 regarding the release date of the 3DS, and in 2006 with the Wii.
Hopefully this event will also confirm the Wii U’s launch line-up, or at least reveal when we can get our grubby mitts on Pikmin 3. Or even some official system specs to finally quash the “Wii U vs Current Gen” speculations once and for all.
Are there any details you’re particularly holding out for? Rage out in the comments below or discuss civilly in our forums.
