It may not be drawing as much attention as its bigger, more expensive console compatriot, but you’d be wise to pay attention to Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. This Vita title looks to be unique in a variety of ways, and the latest bit of gameplay coming out of Gamescom shows why.
The first and probably biggest departure from the core franchise comes in the form of the protagonist. You play as woman assassin, and while that shouldn’t exactly be Revolutionary (get it? like the war?), it’s still something to take note of. While that may be old news to most, the swampy environment featured is unlike anything we’ve seen so far from the console titles. The areas being explored look unique, and stabbing disgruntled alligators is pretty rad no matter how you slice it. It’s a visually appealing title, too, but that’s something you should probably check out for yourself below.
