With the Wii U launching sometime this Holiday season, it’s no surprise that we should be starting to see a gradual trickle of information about the machine and its games. Launch approaching, it’s also no surprise to see retailers wanting to advertise these products to start building awareness and ride the console release wave of commercialism, which is where Amazon has now started. Below you’ll see the final cover designs of future Wii U titles, right now starting with Assassin’s Creed III and Avengers: Battle for Earth (sourced from Game Informer).
If your inner skeptic doesn’t believe in these images… well… even Nintendo’s confirmed them, in a response to GI:
Nintendo has finalized the design of the Wii U game box art, and many of our publishing partners have already incorporated it into their own game packaging. We are seeing those game packages online as retailers are starting to showcase their games. For details about a specific game’s artwork, please contact the game’s publisher. Nintendo-published game boxes will appear shortly with placeholder logos, and then ultimately with the final artwork for each game.
