Developers have been delivering varying reports on the sheer horsepower of Nintendo’s latest console. We’ve heard that the Wii U is slightly more powerful than current technology, basically the same and even a bit below what we have right now. Well, according to 5th Cell’s CEO Jeremiah Slaczka, the device is “definitely more powerful than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.”
Slaczka was recently talking to Game Informer about all of 5th Cell’s latest projects, which includes two Scribblenauts titles and the XBLA release, Hybrid. Scribblenauts Unlimited in the team’s first experience with the Wii U hardware and while the final hardware specs are still unknown to the public, Slaczka knows that this console is beyond what we have.
“It’s kind of frustrating to see the rumours and speculation of people going back and forth saying it’s weaker or more powerful. It’s definitely more powerful.”
Do you really think it’s as powerful as he says? Do you think there will be a noticeable difference when the console launches later this year? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
