The planned, standalone expansion for Saints Row: The Third titled “Enter the Dominatrix” has been scrapped, but for a good cause. This large hunk of content will now be incorporated into a 2013 sequel in the Saints Row franchise.
The DLC was to follow the Saints during an alien invasion right after the conclusion of the main story. The alien Zinyak would capture your character, force them into a VR simulator, and the rest of the game would play out from there. A slew of gameplay enhancements, as well as super powers were promised, but it looks like all of that will go into next year’s game.
With Jason Rubin now heading THQ, many changes will be taking place in order to promote success at THQ. Rubin has been looking to cut the fat and focus on strong IPs at the company, and this particular move seems to fall in line with his business practices thus far.
