Up until today, EA SPORTS has done an absolute fantastic job with keeping Madden fans happy with the upcoming iteration. However, a certain portion of gamers may be a bit upset with EA after something that slipped out today.
Operation Sports is reporting that Madden NFL 13’s Connected Careers mode will not support player edits of any kind. While you’re able to edit players in Madden NFL 13, those changes will not carry over into the highly anticipated Connected Careers mode. Roster updates will be continued to be handled by Donny Moore this year. Any roster changes or edits that Donny makes will be able to be used in Connected Careers, provided that you start your mode after you’ve downloaded the update.
If you’re in your Connected Careers mode and happen to bring in a free agent that is known for a certain number, you’ll be unable to switch that number. Want to add a certain piece of equipment a games in that a player just started wearing? Unfortunately, that won’t be an option at your disposal either.
It’s certainly disappointing to see a feature such as player edits not make it into Madden NFL 13’s most anticipated game mode. It’s easily one of the more “taken for granted” options that sports fans have year in and year out.
