Fans of Battlefield 3 have been looking forward to finally receiving the latest patch on their console. DICE & EA have officially released the Battlefield 3 update today which has a rather extensive list of fixes.
One of the bigger features that goes live with the patch is the ability to rent servers. When you first load up Battlefield 3, you’ll be prompted with a mandatory update that weighs in at 172MB. Once you’ve completed that download, you’ll then have the option to download the “Rent a Server Update” which weighs in at over a gigabyte of data.
Below, we’ve included the pricing to rent a server in Battlefield 3:
- 1 Day – 120 Microsoft Points ($1.49)
- 7 Days – 560 Microsoft Points ($6.99)
- 30 Days – 2000 Microsoft Points ($24.99)
- 90 Days – 4800 Microsoft Points ($59.99)
The ability to rent a server is something that the hardcore crowd has definitely wanted on consoles for quite some time. For websites or clans looking to host community nights, it’s a great way to set your own custom rules and options to tailor the game to your liking.
