First Assassin’s Creed III Screenshots Hit the Internet

Assassin’s Creed III just continues to have news and images surface, and the game was just barely announced a few short weeks ago.  While Ubisoft is planning to formally announce the first official details on Monday, a few screenshots have leaked to the internet.

Our friends over at Gamertag Radio stumbled upon a Tumblr blog that has four never-before-seen screenshots of Assassin’s Creed III.  The game was recently discovered to be taking place during the American Revolution after the main character’s artwork was leaked.  Even though a good bit has “leaked” out in regards to the title, Ubisoft did officially unveil the box art for Assassin’s Creed III.

We’ve included a few screenshots below which show the environments and the main character.  If you’re anything but impressed with these screenshots and the choice of the American Revolution, we’re beginning to question your love for video games.

Assassin’s Creed III is scheduled to hit store shelves on October 30th of this year and fans couldn’t seem to be more excited.  The American Revolution was an interesting choice at first, but after seeing the first screenshots it’s beginning to make much more sense.

What do you think about the first screenshots for Assassin’s Creed III?  Are you planning on pre-ordering the game before it launches in October 2012?  Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below, or discuss Assassin’s Creed III in our forums.
