If you thought The Secret World would be available in April, then we’re sorry to break your heart. The MMO has been rather hyped and developed a considerable following, and finally has an official release date.
Funcom has announced today that The Secret World will be officially available as of June 26th, 2012. The game is set to be published by EA Partners and the push back of the release date will allow for more development time and feedback.
“The additional time will also allow us to carry out even more quality beta testing, and soon we will also be announcing several public beta events where hundreds of thousands of gamers will get to test the game prior to launch.”
If you’ve lost track of the game over the past few years, it’s completely understandable. The game was originally announced back in 2007 for both the PC and the Xbox 360. The door hasn’t been closed on the Xbox 360 version, but it would likely come at a much later date if it does see the light of day.
