When fans of the Battlefield series picked up Battlefield 3 last October they were treated to a little surprise. EA enclosed teaser leaflets of a new Medal of Honor title with a rather “fierce” logo. Since that announcement of sorts, we’ve yet to hear or see anything on the upcoming title at all.
While Medal of Honor’s multiplayer may not have captured the hearts of every gamer, it developed a sort of loyal following for awhile. The campaign was paced rather slow and had questionable AI at times, but delivered a believable and realistic story for modern-day war. For anyone who played through the campaign, it was easy to tell that there was a sequel being planned for the newly rebooted series.
We’ve received word this morning that EA is planning to formally announce the new Medal of Honor title early next month. The title is being said to be revealed in the upcoming issue of PSM3, as well as being talked about during GDC 2012. The magazine is said to reveal the initial details on the plot, a multiplayer mode, and more.
As with any rumor, take it with a grain of salt until an official confirmation comes through or it’s proved incorrect next month. Are you looking forward to the upcoming Medal of Honor title?
