If you had already marked off a few days on your calendar for Max Payne 3 to be played in March, well, you may want to make a few adjustments. Rockstar released a press release this morning announcing the delay, which will surely end to a net loss being reported for fiscal year 2012.
The delay pushes the title back to May 2012, and Rockstar is expected to announce further details later this afternoon regarding the delay. If you follow Rockstar at all, you’ll remember that both Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire were both released in May. The last few Rockstar initial release dates all seem to have been pushed back at some point, but we expect this release date to stick.
