The Battlefield: Back to Karkand DLC pack is releasing this December, and one of the new maps is the newly polished Gulf of Oman. The Persian Gulf strait connects the Arabian Sea with the Straight of Hormuz, but in addition to a boring geography lesson, it’s also the perfect playground for buckets of all-out, deleterious warfare with jeeps, jets, and everything in between.
In the new gameplay trailer released today by EA, we’re given a glimpse at some of the new rides players will be at the controls of including the STOVL fighter jet, desert buggy, armored personnel carrier (APC), and yes, the forklift.
The DLC pack will also include 4 new maps in total: Gulf of Oman, Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, and Sharqi Peninsula, as well as a selection of classic Battlefield 2 weapons. The pack will be free to those who pre-ordered the game and can otherwise be purchased for $15 (1200 Microsoft Points).
