It’s been over 2 weeks since the release of Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and the game’s accompanying online portal Call of Duty: Elite has been plagued by service issues ever since. Activision released an FAQ last week in an attempt to saddle the storm of criticism being leveled in their direction for the issue, but has never announced a specific date for when the site is expected to be at full operational capacity. Today, however, users are noticing that the service may finally be open for business.
By clicking on the “Status” tab in the top of the website’s homepage, users will be directed to a page that displays the current status of Elite’s service. In preceding weeks, the yellow “Service is Intermittent” light would display on the left to signify the sporadic periods access users would have available. As you can see in the picture below however, the light is currently shining bright and green with the tag “Service Operational” underneath.
We’re hoping it’s not just another fluke and that everyone can now enjoy the features of Elite at anytime – whether they decided to pay for the full-fledged membership or not. At the time of this posting, the latest update in the right hand column of the status page is still dated at November 16, but if Elite is truly operating on all cylinders, it wouldn’t surprise us if Activision updates the page shortly.
