While the last few months have included a ton of incredible video game releases, gamers are always wondering about the “next-gen” systems. Rumors are bound to swirl from time to time, but it appears that a new rumor has emerged regarding the next Xbox system.
French gaming site Xboxygen is claiming that they have knowledge of the next Xbox having its first details being revealed at CES 2012. The rumor states that an internal division called “Loop” is handling the new project, a name that we’ve heard from previous rumblings as well.
The supposed console is said to run a hex-core CPU with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, which is a little odd for a “next-gen” system. According to the article, AMD is also in charge of providing the GPU for the upcoming system.
While it’s definitely interesting, we’re still classifying this as a “rumor”. The console is rumored to be shown for the first time at E3 2013, and hit store shelves by the holiday of that same year. Without any concrete information, however, gamers still need to be hopeful about this one.
