There’s a little game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 that you’re either playing, or someone on your online list of friends is definitely enjoying. While most gamers on Modern Warfare 3 are tearing through the campaign and multiplayer maps, the question of downloadable content is soon to be, or may already be, fresh on their minds.
We’re here to bring you a rumor we were just passed on by forum user TanksRUs on CODForums247.com, that the first downloadable content for Modern Warfare 3 will be coming by no later than January 2012. The first downloadable content is said to include four to five maps, playable in both multiplayer and Spec Ops.
To help further this rumor, the Official Playstation Blog listed Call of Duty Elite as, “All the MW3 DLC (20 pieces) during the 9-month DLC season starting early 2012. Includes multiplayer and special ops maps“. Using the information we were passed from our source, this would have the last downloadable content for Modern Warfare 3 launching in September. This gives a month in between the last downloadable content and the newest Call of Duty title to launch (using the typical release window for the series).
What do you think about the first Modern Warfare 3 downloadable content launching in January? Have you picked up a Call of Duty Elite subscription yet? Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below, or sound off in our forums!
