Enjoy Prototype 2’s New Trailer

Welcome to the Red Zone. At least that’s what they’re calling the Big Apple in Prototype 2’s new CG trailer, though I doubt it’s in homage to the blood and fire colored fruit. Watch for yourself, and you might think twice before harassing a bird next time.

As we can see, the new protagonist James Heller is out to kill Alex Mercer after losing his family to the Blacklight Virus. While this is a CG trailer, making it hard to infer what’s representative of the final product, it does show off certain known gameplay elements like the BioBomb and everyone’s favorite pastime, slow-motion severing.

Prototype 2 releases April 24, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
