In-Game XMB may be coming in 2.40 Firmware
Posted by iconoficons, 189 days ago May 29, 2008 20:09

Videogaming247.com is throwing around a very heavy rumour that In-game XMB, and Trophy Support may be coming in the next Firmware update for the PS3.  Trohpoes/In-Game XMB are said to be two of the main features Home will support, being Sony’s answer to Microsoft’s Dashboard/Achievements, if this pans out to be true, it is a very bright day for PS3 owners.

Here is a quote from the article;

"We’re told that the added XMB feature allows users to play their own music in-game.

Programming tools to support the update have apparently now gone out to developers.

We’re unaware that a release date for the software has been set. Sony has already said that in-game XMB wil be added to PS3’s functionality this summer."
