Killzone 2 was a title that had an incredible amount of hype surrounding the release of the title. No one can forget the E3 video that left everyone in shock, but in disbelief that the team at Guerrilla Games could pull off such stunning visuals.
However, Guerrilla Games did just that. They pulled off amazing visuals and one of the favorite shooters for Playstation 3 owners. Today, we bring to you news supporting a 2010 release for Killzone 3.
In the newest issue of Playstation: The Official Magazine, there's an article entitled, "The Secret Games of 2010". Within that article, you'll find the following snippet of information:
“Insider slips reveal three big names you can already pencil for the next year. Killzone 3 is reportedly deep in development, Insomniac’s Full Moon Show podcast hints at a project we can only conclude is Resistance 3, and a Treyarch employee’s online mentions of a Call of Duty: World at War sequel.”
While the mentions of a new Resistance and Call of Duty are noteworthy, the real meat of the article lies around Killzone 3. The ending of the game obviously points to a sequel, but will we really see it as early as 2010? If it does launch in 2010, it's safe to say that it would be a holiday launch towards the end of the year. Sony has both Gran Turismo and God of War launching in the beginning of the year, no need to take away from those releases.
