We’re looking for someone just like you!
That’s right, you! We’re constantly looking to improve our staff and bring on new editors to share their ideas and opinions. If you’re a self-motivated individual who loves to write and play video games, then we’d love to hear from you!
Anyone can write an article, but we want people who can tell us a story. If your writing stands out in a positive way because you’re descriptive and can express your opinions, then this is the place for you. Keep in mind that we love opinions, as we strive for non-biased writing in any of our news, editorials, or content that we bring to the site.
All positions are voluntary and are not paid. You will, however, have the opportunity to do things such as attend gaming events, receive review copies, and put your name out in the industry. Writing for StickSkills.com is something you can add to your resume as an internship as you strive towards your ultimate goal. Previous editors on our website have been able to move on to paid gigs or jobs within the industry in recent years. We take pride in each staff member on the site, and look to help them grow their skill-set to achieve their own personal goals along the way.
Contributors to the website are expected to be “self-motivators”. We’re looking for individuals that are able to consistently write content for the website each weekday, take pride in the website, and be capable of promoting their content via social networks. This helps to ensure that everyone pulls their weight on the site and consistent content is presented to our readers. Writing isn’t your thing? We’re always looking for individuals to bring videos or other forms of creative content as well.
If you’re interested in becoming a part of the team, feel free to send an e-mail to ian(at)stickskills(dot)com. Please be sure to include your name, age, systems owned, state or residence, and at least one sample of your writing.
We hope to hear from you soon!
