Intro
Gears of War has to be one of the most well done games that I have come across in an extremely long time. When I first opened the package to this game and put it inside of my 360, I fell in love with the game’s graphics.
The problem with the majority of our game’s today, is that we often skip the single-player because it’s extremely boring or non-rewarding compared to the multi-player. Gears of War is one of the few games that I played the entire campaign through before even considering a multi-player match.

While the single-player may not have the endless amounts of gameplay that we all wished for, the 8-10 hours it takes to finish it are action packed & fun-filled. The first four hours that myself and a dorm mate played the game, our room was filled with around 10-15 people just amazed by the cinematics and graphics. When was the last time you remember seeing something in a video game from single-player, and an entire room of people go, "OH MY GOD"?
Graphics
Graphically, Gears of War is one of the best games I’ve ever had the pleasure to get my hands on. From the intense details enscribed into every piece of architecture, to the extremely well done character models, it’s easy to say that Gears of War takes the cake. The gripe I do have with Gears of War, is that some of the environments are not fully interactive. When I see water trickling down from a building, or when I step into a puddle, I’d like to see the water interact with my character. An extremely small gripe, but hey, everything can be made better.
