The Halo 3 update (1.2) has officially gone Live.  What’s that?  1750 possible points for Halo 3 now?  The standard for Xbox Live has been 1250 for some time, with games that receive title updates, but it appears as if Halo 3 has broken the mold.

If you take a look at the achievements, you’ll notice that they refer to six new "Mythic" maps that have yet to be announced to the public.  Whether or not these maps are single or multiplayer is yet to be determined, but the mention of hidden skulls on at least two of the maps leans my opinion to think that they are partly singleplayer as well.  With the mention of a hidden skull on Assembly (my favorite multiplayer map), may we actually be seeing the addition of skulls on multiplayer?

Bungie is the master of trickery, and with all of the "superintendent" buzz, teaser videos, and now the mysterious achievements, we’re excited to see what Bungie has in store next.  With that being said, what are you waiting for?!  Get on Xbox Live and get yourself some brand new Halo 3 achievements!
