College football is slowly but surely creeping up on us, and most of us are eagerly anticipating putting NCAA Football 09 in our systems so we can win a national championship with our favorite team.  We’ve already reported on the top 25 rated teams in the game, and now it’s time to expose the top fifty players that will be featured in this year’s game.

It seems to me that nowadays sports games give away high 90 overall ratings like their a piece candy. I just feel like there’s too many of these high ratings and it doesn’t allow the game to separate great from elite level athletes. NBA Live 2008 did a good job on player ratings in my opinion, only giving high 90’s ratings to the two best NBA talents (Kobe and Lebron) while other "stars" were rated high 80’s or in the low 90’s. I understand its a completely different sport and all but I would like to see these types of player ratings implemented into other EA sports games such as NCAA and Madden Football.
