‘State of Decay’ Breakdown DLC hoping to release end of October

Undead Labs’ State of Decay brought zombie survival to XBLA and it’s currently in Early Access on Steam for the PC version. The game was quite long and hefty but that doesn’t mean there’s an end as DLC is on its way.

We don’t know much about what the DLC entails but it’ll be called Breakdown and it’s in a pre-certification process right now at Microsoft. After that, it’ll be heading up into the certification phase hopefully by the end of the week and without problems, they’re shooting for the end of October should nothing go wrong. Here’s founder Jeff Strains exact quote:

Assuming no catastrophes, we plan on getting Breakdown into your hands by the end of October.

It’d be nice to know what’s in the DLC exactly but it’s good to know Undead Labs have a hit on their hands. On XBLA alone, it’s sold a million units which is impressive for a downloadable on Xbox Live Arcade. It’ll be leaving Early Access on Steam by the end of the year. No word on when the Breakdown DLC will be hitting Steam.
