Nintendo has two Zelda games to show off at E3: Wind Waker HD on Wii U and A Link Between Worlds on 3DS. Shigeru Miyamoto almost considered bringing along another one for Wii U to show off at E3 but decided not to.
In an interview with Game Informer, he talked about various games in development and when it came to the new Zelda, he said it was farther along than many thought. Here’s what Miyamoto said:
“We’re also working on a new Wii U Zelda game. Work on that is progressing fairly concretely. In fact, we were thinking about showing it here at E3 but decided to wait just a little bit longer before sharing it with everyone.”
Kind of a bummer but remember, Nintendo Directs happen prety frequently that they could just reveal it randomly later down the line. It’s still rumored to hit in 2014 but who knows at this point.
