The Call of Juarez series has been around since 2006, with multiple releases on PC and consoles alike. Most recently, developer Techland caught some flak for Call of Juarez: The Cartel, released in 2011. In addition to a poor critical reception, many criticized the flippant way it approached heavy topics such as human trafficking. Gunslinger looks to be taking on a more lighthearted tone.
