New ‘Assassin’s Creed’ in the works, to feature new hero & time period

In today’s quarterly earnings call, CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot announced that a new Assassin’s Creed is currently in development and scheduled for release during the next fiscal year. The game is also said to feature a new hero and take place during a new time period.

This doesn’t really come as a surprise given the conclusion of Desmond’s trilogy which finished with Connor Kenway’s  journey during the American Revolution. This story is still developing so stay tuned for more details. Where would you like to see the franchise go? Feudal Japan, China, or perhaps even somewhere more modern?
