Fancy yourself a little Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? Well, that’s good, because Treyarch and Activision have announced that you’ll be earning double XP all weekend long.

Regardless of which system you play the game for, double XP will be in your future if you’re hopping on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 this weekend. The announcement confirmed that the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 & Wii U would all be receiving the double XP action.

We’re less than a week away from the January 29th release of Revolution, the first DLC Map Pack for Black Ops 2. To get you ready for the action that’s to come, we’re hosting a Double XP weekend, beginning on Friday, January 25 (10am/PST) and running through Monday, January 28 (10am/PST). Whether you’re an Xbox 360, PS3, PC or Wii player, warm-up your skills, all while earning twice the amount of XP.

If you’ve recently found yourself not playing the game, this weekend is the perfect time to jump back into the game’s multiplayer. With the Season Pass content going live for consoles other than the Xbox 360 this weekend and new downloadable content coming to Xbox Live this Tuesday, you’ll want to ensure you have the right weapons, gadgets, and perks unlocked.

When not writing for the site, you can find Dougie on Xbox Live & Playstation Network (Gamertag: AirUpThere06). He plays just about everything, but loves a good shooter with a great multiplayer experience.
