‘God of War: Ascension’ developer diary looks at multiplayer

I’ve got a soft spot for developer diaries. On top of teasing some tantalizing bits of gameplay, you get to virtually “sit down” with the devs and learn a bit about the process behind developing the game and see some of the systems at work on a much more personal level. This installment is a special treat as the developers talk about the multiplayer technology in God of War: Ascension.

One of the most interesting bits of the video comes at about the halfway point, where they discuss how the team actually plans to pull off a 100% lag-free experience. Apart from that, they also discuss matchmaking, their commitment to entirely in-house playtesting, and some personal thoughts on the game’s progress. It looks like multiplayer is shaping up to be pretty great, but you’ll see some more in-depth thoughts from StickSkills sometime in the next few days.

Are you excited to play the game? Share your hopes in the comments, or discuss the multiplayer in our forums!
