Eidos Montreal, developers of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the yet-to-be-released Thief 4, is the developer behind the recently announced multiplayer component of Crystal Dynamic’s Tomb Raider reboot, according to Eidos community manager Meagan Marie.
Marie confirmed on Eidos’ official forums that Eidos Montreal is currently working on Tomb Raider’s multiplayer component. Crystal Dynamic and Eidos Montreal are owned by the same parent company Square Enix.
“Tomb Raider will include a multiplayer offering thanks to the hard work of our sister-studio, the hugely talented Eidos Montreal,” Marie wrote. “The team at Eidos Montreal has been working away at the multiplayer while we focused everything on the single-player offering.
It was first announced last week that Tomb Raider would have a multiplayer mode at all. Marie has also promised that more Tomb Raider news would be coming out of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
