Now there may not have been a ton of exclusives on the Xbox 360 this year, but Microsoft continues to provide limited windows of exclusivity when it comes to downloadable content. And that’s what easily defines what you should be buying on the company’s console. It’s been a great year overall, so when it comes down to it, these are what you should be keeping your eyes on this holiday season.
Retail
Halo 4
Alright, you had to know that Halo 4 would make this list. As one of the few exclusive Xbox 360 games this year, it had to. But that doesn’t mean that that’s the only reason it’s doing so. The return of Master Chief has been highly anticipated, and it doesn’t disappoint. Cortana is struggling with her own humanity and it’s a touching story to experience. It might not be the Halo that you’re used to seeing, but it’s certainly a Halo worth playing. Combined with the ever addicting multiplayer, you’ll get your money’s worth out of this one.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
You might be wondering why I chose to include Skyrim on this list, but the decision was actually rather simple. For those who don’t have a gaming computer to run this monster, the Xbox 360 is the clear choice. With the PlayStation 3 having all kinds of issues when it comes to downloadable content, if you want to continue experiencing one of the best RPGs this generation, you’re going to want to get it on the Xbox.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
This also became a factor in my decision to include Black Ops II. With all add-ons getting some sort of limited exclusivity and one of the biggest online communities, if you’re a fan of the multiplayer or zombies, Xbox is where you’re going to want to pick this one up. Even if you’re not a fan of the campaign, many, many hours are going to be had playing with friends.
Microsoft Points
The winner this year are Microsoft Points. There’s absolutely no way you can go wrong with these. When in doubt, buy Microsoft Points. There’s so much content this year that relies on these points that it’s not even funny. What’s all available, you ask? Click the pretty button below and find out.
