‘Street Fighter x Mega Man’ announced for PC, out on December 17 for free

Take two favourite Capcom franchises and mix them together and you got Bionic Commando: Lost Planet right? Okay, maybe Final Fight Ghouls n’ Goblins? Nope, a fan game that’s being backed by Capcom to celebrate the 25th anniversaries of Street Fighter and Mega Man and they’re coming together for Street Fighter x Mega Man.

Instead of fighting robot masters, you’ll be fighting Street Fighter characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Blanka and Rose. The game looks 8-bit like previous games or current favourites Mega Man 9 and 10. It’s great to see Capcom backing this fan game, check out the trailer below:

If you’re interested in that, another developer named Team Reaverbot is working on a fan game that’s entirely new with new robot masters like Bio Man and Kendo Man. Check out their trailer below:

Good time to be a Mega Man fan after Capcom hasn’t been the kindest to the series as of lately with cancellations for Mega Man Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe. I’m stoked, what do you all think? Let us know in the comments below or post in the forums.

I love all sorts of games from 2d side-scrollers to action/adventures set in fantasies or gothic nature like Castlevania. My 3 favourite games ever are Viewtiful Joe, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Chrono Trigger.
