In a recent interview with Eurogamer, ex-BioWare staffer Trent Oster revealed the RPG powerhouse had a secret agent RPG in the works. But because of the bad recession, the game had to be cancelled.
Oster described the project as “…the idea being that James Bond isn’t just a gun that walks around the world and shoots people. He’s a suave manipulator, he’s a talented martial artist, he’s a secret agent.” Just think of that for a second. A game where you’re a badass secret agent having to seduce folks, talk your way out of sticky situations, and drink the finest alcohols, all the while experiencing a story written by the people who did Mass Effect 2. I’m a little upset that EA went and cancelled this! For the full story, check out Eurogamer’s interview with Oster. It’s a great little read, and reveals a bit more about what the game could’ve been.
What do you guys think? Is EA the absolute worst for canceling this promising sounding game, or do you care about Dragon Age 3 more? Let us know in the comments.
