Since it’s 2012, Far Cry 3 will have a day one patch. Yay modern gaming!
The patch, which can be downloaded for PC right now, claims to fix single and multiplayer stability, some UI and graphics glitches, and a slew of other issues. Which begs the question: Why weren’t they fixed in QA? I still don’t understand why big publishers are in such a patching mindset. Rushing a game out to make its release date, and then making players download a patch before they can even play the game is kind of insulting. Sure, the patch is only 258MB, but the fact still stands.
Ubisoft, and every big publisher out there, fix problems before you ship the product. It’s that simple! Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments, or over in our big ol’ forum.
