Nintendo’s Wii U console released to the delight of millions of hungry fans Nov. 18 in North America, and while plenty of gamers now have their hands on this new piece of hardware, Nintendo is still doing a great deal of promotion to make sure this touch-enabled device has a successful holiday.
However, not all of the talk coming from Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has been entirely true. During an interview with CNN’s Kristie Lu Stout, Fils-Aime made a bold claim about the Wii U after Stout mentioned the console’s graphical similarities to its competitors.
“If you do a side-by-side comparison, you actually see that third-party games like Call of Duty look dramatically better on our system,” Fils-Aime said. “In terms of what the competition’s going to do in the future… we’ll see.”

Fil-Aime continued to promote the Wii U and the differences it has over both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as well as explain the importance of the Gamepad.
