‘Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm’ set for March 12 release

Written by Josiah Renaudin

The first major expansion for the wildly popular PC title Starcraft II will finally be releasing to a sea of eager fans March 12, 2013 for a discounted price.

Well, maybe not so discounted if you’re just calling this a simple expansion. Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm will sell for $39.99, but the amount of time and work that’s been put into it, along with what the developers have been saying, leads us to believe that there’s quite a bit of content waiting within. Blizzard has officially confirmed this early 2013 release date, and while you can buy this chunk of content separately  there will also be a bundle with the original Wings of Liberty for $59.99.

If you’re just one of the millions of people still playing the game, this is pretty exciting news.

Well, are you still participating in the Starcraft II community? Will you be picking up this expansion? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below!
