We can take away two things from the recently released opening video for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale: there will be a sufficient amount of dubstep in the game, and Polygon Man is indeed the final boss.

The developers at SuperBot Entertainment are into the idea of rivalries for the Sony characters in this brawler, and the below video, brought to you by IGN, really plays up that idea. Each personality is clashing with another, but it’s the ending figure that finally reveals that Polygon Man will be the game’s biggest adversary.

Polygon Man was a PlayStation mascot meant to tease the power of the original system before it launched in the west in 1995. The ad campaign was pulled before launch, but the crazy character still persists to this day.

The rivalries, which will be expanded upon in the final product, are listed below:

  • Ratchet & Clank versus Jak & Daxter
  • Sly Cooper versus Nathan Drake
  • Fat Princess versus Evil Cole MacGrath
  • Sir Daniel Fortesque versus Colonel Radec
  • Sackboy versus Big Daddy
  • Nariko versus Dante
  • Heihachi versus Toro
  • Spike versus Parappa the Rapper
  • Good Cole MacGrath versus Raiden
  • Sweet Tooth versus Kratos

You can see all these scenarios play out when the game launches on PlayStation 3 and Vita Nov. 20.

When not writing about all the latest and greatest happenings in the video game industry, you can find Josiah on PSN, XBLA or Steam (Lionheart377). He has a soft spot for classic, turn-based RPGs, but also spends a great deal of time jumping from platform to platform and shooting dudes in the head.
