‘Assassin’s Creed III’ sells 3.5 million in first week

Considering the history of the series, it comes as no surprise that Assassin’s Creed III has been successful. Now we know just how successful. According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, the game sold 3.5 million units during it’s first week alone. It’s worth noting that this is units sold to consumers, and not just shipped to retailers. The earnings report where this information originated also states that this is a “year-on-year increase of more than 100%,” when compared to Revelations. If this guarantees anything, it’s that the Assassin’s Creed series isn’t going anywhere.
