Developer 343 Industries’ first attempt at a Halo game won’t be gracing the Xbox 360 until tomorrow, but there are over 4,000 active online players in the game as we speak.
Media members already have their hands on this hot holiday release, but let’s be clear – there aren’t 4,000 people reviewing this title. Kotaku discovered over the weekend that 4,294 people were playing Halo 4, which is a drastic increase from the 500 or so participants just a few days before that.
Broken street dates, pirates and reviewers are all contributing factors, but what you really need to know if you’re planning on picking this game up November 6 is that there will be more than a handful of people with a significant jump start.
Any other guess to why there are so many people playing online right now? Are you going to pick up Halo 4 tomorrow? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below!
