After The Witcher II, we weren’t sure what was to come of next from the polish developer CD Projekt RED. They announced earlier that their next game was going to be futuristic and set in the Cyberpunk 2020 universe based on the popular pen-and-paper RPG. Now we have some more details on this promising new RPG.
Now titled Cyberpunk 2077, players will be surrounded by a landscape only imagined from films like Blade Runner. It’s the year 2077, a time where technology has become so advanced, it helps and hinders the world around it. The story will be non-linear and have tons of character customization that’ll play a part into your character. You’ll have an open sandbox world to explore and make your own with the advancement of such futuristic technology.
If you’ve seen any gritty cyberpunk style films, they’ll play a huge part into what you’ll be seeing. However, when we’ll be seeing this is a good question. There’s been no date or no systems announced but knowing CD Projekt RED, it’ll be on the PC for sure at least. Who knows if it’ll make it to current or next-gen systems but time will tell, at least it won’t come out in the year 2077.
