Deadly Premonition, the cooky, archaic budget title that captured the hearts of many Xbox 360 owners in 2010, will be making its way to the PlayStation 3 next year with some additional content.
Rising Star Games will be publishing the cult hit in early 2013, and while the core of this survival-horror title will remain intact, a slew of gameplay additions and polish will help make this the best version of developer SWEARY65’s original vision.
“Love it or hate it, Deadly Premonition has been a phenomenon; ‘cult’ does not begin to do its success justice,” said Martin Defries, President of Rising Star Games. “With the enhancements Swery and his team are making to this new PS3 version, I am delighted to confirm Rising Star Games’ involvement with this fantastic game that should engage fans new and old alike.”
A new scenario from the game’s director, HD graphics, a reworked control system and downloadable content to “expand the mystery beyond the original game” will all be part of The Director’s Cut. Look for it on the PlayStation 3 not long after the holidays.
