If you’ve read about Retro City Rampage in the last two years, chances are, you still madly want it and can’t wait to get it in your hands. The love letter to nostalgia and old-school Grand Theft Auto chock full of references to all your favourite games and pop culture has been in development for some time. But we’ve finally got a release date.
October 9 sees the release of Retro City Rampage as reported on the PlayStation PS Blogcast. For the PS3 and Vita versions, it has cross-buy enabled. So you can buy the PS3 version and you’ll have your free Vita version to bring on the go with you. No word yet on the XBLA or WiiWare release but they’ll be out before the end of 2012 soon.
Pricing will be 14.99 across all platforms and you can get either a Steam version or a DRM-free version from the website. There’s literally tons of ways to play the game and creator Brian Provinciano has worked hard to get it across all platforms.
