For NBA Live 13, it was one hell of a ride. Fans were extremely excited to see that the series was coming back, but it ultimately didn’t meet the quality standards that EA SPORTS envisioned and the game was cancelled.
While quite a few rumors were floating around for the game, one of the most interesting was that the game was going to be released via the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network as a digital title. While there was no official confirmation, a certain important industry member confirmed that rumor today.
Major Nelson tweeted today that, “NBA LIVE 13 was supposed to be today’s XBLA title, but EA made the decision not to launch it today.” That’s rather huge as EA SPORTS never stated how the game would be released or what the release date was. Thanks to that tweet, we now have the answer to both of those questions.
