The first official set of DLC for New Super Mario Bros. 2 (or even any Nintendo game, for that matter) is now available for European eShop users. The news came straight from a Nintendo Direct broadcast earlier today hosted by a 3D animated polygonal Satoru Iwata.
The pack will set consumers back by £6 for the entire set, otherwise each pack can be bought separately for £2. There are three packs in total: Gold Rush pack which challenges players to collect up to 30,000 coins; Coin Challenge Pack A that utilizes a hi-score system, allowing leaderboards to be tracked via the NSMB2 website; and the Nerve-Wrack Pack which increases the difficulty of the game for an added challenge.
No word has been given yet on a specific US release date, however with the European release of this DLC it should be safe to assume it will arrive soon.
