Team Ninja & Keiji Inafune announce ‘Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z’

Written by Perry Jackson

So that game that Team Ninja was unveiling at this year’s Tokyo Game Show? Turns out, it’s much deeper than that and has help from the creator of Mega Man and Onimusha. That’s right, his studio Comcept and Lost Planet 3 developer Spark Unlimited are working on a brand new spin-off in the Ninja Gaiden series entitled Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. Catch the trailer below.

The plot of the game is you play a ninja killing zombies…sounds about right. Can’t get any more simpler than that but who does the protagonist want to kill? Ryu Hayabusa. The small looks at the graphics reveal a highly-stylized look with oodles of cel-shading. Inafune said this was the game he always wanted to make and it’ll appeal to the western audience.

Does this appeal to you or you done slicing zombies with a sword? Let us know in the comments or post about who’d win a fight in our forums.
