As if there wasn’t more Ninja Gaiden news to soak in blood today, Team Ninja announced some more details regarding the Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3. It’ll be getting some free DLC and Ninja Skills that’ll enhance the experience that was already found on the PS3/X360 versions of the game.
First off, the Scythe DLC is now included on the disc if you want to get live out your scythian fantasies. Ninja Skills are brand new and will allow players to level up magic (known as Ninpo) and moves as well as add new moves to his repertoire. Announced so far is the “Guillotine Throw” which sounds bad-ass already.
You’ll also have a brand new character to play as who you might recognize from the Dead or Alive series. Ayane joins Ryu, using two short blades and “symbolizes the experience, the challenge you will feel in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge” according to Team Ninja.
Lastly, there’s a long list of free DLC coming for the title that Team Ninja remain hush about. All they can say is “that series fans are going to love it”. Is it the original NES games on the disc? I would totally love that. It’ll be released on launch day for the Wii U on November 18.
